Haladaya Festival


Another high-end contender every Pasigarbo sa Sugbo celebration is the Haladaya Festival from Daanbantayan, Cebu.
This festival is honored every August 28. 


The emphasis of this festivity is to reminisce the heroic activity of their Datu Daya , who defended the natives from the Moro pirates. The term haladaya means, "Halad Kang Datu Daya!" or an offering for their Datu Daya. This is why the natives show their gratitude via dance and this ritual is passed on until present time.

Sarok Festival


Pasigarbo sa Sugbo will't be  possible without having the Sarok festival participating. 
Sarok festival is a mardigras of colorful props and costumes and street dancing along the main road of Consolacion , this event is celebrated every 28th of October. 


The significance of the dance is to elucidate the importance of sarok in the history of Consolacion.
Sarok is a hat made of bamboo and dried banana leaves, this material is used by farmers and natives (Consolacionanon) to protect themselves from the sunlight and the rain.

Pasigarbo Sa Sugbo


Pasigarbo sa Sugbo or Festival of Festivals is an annual event participated by towns and municipalities within Cebu. Each town or municipality is given the chance to perform, to showcase their local culture and tradition through the art of dancing. These world-class performances are filled with colorful exhibition and exceptional choreography. This major event is celebrated during August in time with the celebration of the founding anniversary of Cebu.
